"I haven't seen so much water in the last 20 years. Everything in my house is wrecked because the water has risen to waist level," said Mohammad Masum, a resident of Feni district. His experience is echoed by countless others who have seen their possessions, homes, and means of livelihood washed away in a matter of days.
Schools, roads, and healthcare facilities have been severely impacted, hampering both rescue operations and day-to-day activities.
